Beach Manor Graduation Party
I co-hosted the Graduation party for Sophia's Kindergarten class of 13. The moms of the girls in the class rented a picnic shelter at an awesome park in Virginia Beach. Our shelter was right next to a really fun playground and a horse-shoe pit so fun was had by all.
I was in charge of decorations so I arrived much earlier than everyone else, but that was ok because I finished my job just as the guests were arriving. Check out some of the pictures of the kids playing.
Funny, only the girls in the class showed up for the party. Matthew did show up, but he left before we even started the grill.

Sophia's Kindergarten Graduation
So the dance recital has come and gone (over a month ago)....and I need to update the blog. A big sorry to my faithful readers.
Both girls did absolutely fabulous in the dance show. We were so proud of them! Our seats were pretty good and both girls were finished just before intermission so then we were able to head home after a big day.
Big Daddy arrived just before I took the girls to school that morning. Sophia's Kindergarten graduation was at 10 AM and then we went out to lunch to celebrate with Big Daddy. He treated us at Sophia and Lilly's (and Will's, I think) favorite restaurant: Red Robin. We spent the afternoon playing Monopoly and Lilly crushed us all! Pretty soon it was time to get ready for the dance recital.
But, back to the graduation. Sophia "A"lexander led the graduation procession and carried the flag. She was so nervous and had been stressing about it for days so I was relieved when everything went without a hitch. We read Junie B. is a Graduation Girl earlier in the week and I think it helped calm her nerves a little bit too. And, I know for a fact that Beach Manor was practicing with the class for weeks.
She remembered her part of the class poem perfectly even though I only caught the last part of it on film. She and Adrianna said the same part in unison.
The rest of the ceremony was really cute. They sang some songs and they each read a little script that they hand written about which unit they liked best and what they want to be when they grow up. Sophia said Music and Instruments for her favorite unit and she's still on track to be a veterinarian She's always said she wants to be a vet and considering that she has over 55 (mostly small) stuffed animals I think she just might. (Here's a photo of Mrs. Faulker with all the Girl Scouts in Sophia's class).
Anyway, here they videos are coming soon.....

Videos of dance recital dress rehearsal
Sophia and Lilly had their dress rehearsal last night for their big dance recital tonight! This was the first time that I've gotten to see their dances.....and, the first time that I've seen everything they've learned throughout the year. I was so completely impressed with their performances. I hope it's a repeat tonight.
This is part of Lilly's song, " Jesse, the Yodeling Cowgirl"...She's the second one from the left.

The Whole Troop
Last night was our last troop meeting for the year. (repeat after me: YAY!!!)This is the only time this year that all 13 girls have all been present at the same time.
Back Row: Mary Price, Addie, Grace, Megan, Haley, Caroline, Mia, Abby
Front Row: Sophia, Charlotte, Maggie, Elizabeth, Allie
They're all in Kindergarten. Mia, Abby, Sophia, Elizabeth and Allie all attend Beach Manor.
The only little girl going to the school that Sophia will attend next year (Strawbridge Elementary) is Maggie. She's very Type A - outgoing, smart and talkative (just like Sophia).... Maybe they'll be in the same class. Who knows.
Choir Banquet
Sophia's choir banquet at church was this past Sunday. She's got another 2 years in this choir and the good news is that Lilly will be able to join her next year now that she's turned 4. I can't wait!

Lilly - playing outside
Lilly wanted to play in the sprinklers one day while Sophia was still at school. She changed into her suit and ran outside. I grabbed the camera and followed her. She didn't realize I was taking a video and I think she was simply posing for me. Ha ha ha.
Here's Lilly wrapped in a towel after spending only 1 minute in the sprinklers (above). We went back into the house immediately following this...
Here's another quick one. She was pretending to "burn her butt".

Here's Lilly sitting in the sandbox. Day 1....before the sand got rained on. Pristine sand.
Here they are playing with a water squirter hopscotch pad that Sophia got for her birthday. A favorite!
This is the new swimming suit I got Sophia for her birthday.
Sadie, just relaxing after a long day.
Sophia, still in love with her Lamby after 6 years.
Lilly, striking a pose for the camera (notice the purse around her shoulder!)
Sophia's first 100-piece puzzle done at home. She did one at school before, but not at home. Lilly and I helped.

Summer's 4th birthday party
Lilly was grinning from ear to ear the whole party.
I just wonder if I should get the 14 inch bike. We didn't try one of those. Guess we'll have to go back and look again.
