Lilly and her boyfriend, Jonas

Whenever you ask Lilly if she has a boyfriend she immediately replies that it's Baby Jonas.  She absolutely adores her little cousin.

Sunday, March 04, 2012

I have no idea what they were playing the other day, but they each had one of my purses and a stuffed dog.  Eventually they tried to stuff the dogs into their purses.

Girl Scout Cookies

Sophia sold 92 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.  Her friend, Elizabeth sold 189!  Her other friend Caroline sold 43.  Any way you slice it, they all did fabulous.

We ordered extra cookies so we could have a few booth sales.  A booth sale is best described as a make-shift booth or "table" set up outside a grocery store or restaurant with up to 4 really cute Girl Scouts selling their cookies to anyone who wants them.

We had two booth sales.  One at a grocery store and we sold out.  We had another one scheduled for the next day at Panera Bread and also did very well despite the rain and the freezing cold weather!

Girl Scouts

Last Friday night we attended a World Thinking Day celebration.  Girl Scouts around the globe celebrate the "sisters" they have in all other parts of the world.

Each troop at the celebration had to pick a country and make a tri-fold board, food, and craft about it.  We picked Ireland....(well, I was using my brain and thinking ahead because we selected our countries back in January.  I KNEW we would be able to find lots of shamrock things.) It was so easy to come up with our display.

I had a total of 7 girls from my troop show up.  Each of the girls got to go around and sample food and learn about each country.  They loved it.

Lilly's new favorite dress

Lilly loves her "fancy" dresses, as she calls them.  She cries when I make her get dressed in winter clothes to go outside.  She complains that everything is itchy and how am I supposed to know if she's just saying that or if it really is itchy to her. She's smart.

She sleeps in her dresses and wears them ALL THE TIME.  As soon as she gets home from school or church or anywhere for that matter....she leaves a clothing trail up to her bedroom trying to get out of her clothes so she can put on a fancy dress.

Here she is right before her bath last night. And, ironically, she looked exactly the same after her bath!

Sophia's new favorite activity

I was swimming for a while, but got sick of it so now I'm trying to faithfully use the treadmill...well, so is Sophia.  She absolutely loves it.  I don't let her get it beyond a speed of 3.0 and she's fine with that.  She begs me to get on the treadmill.  Um, OK!

Lilly's latest victim

Yep, it was Sophia's Lamby!  She cut one of the foot pads right off and the other one now has a hole in it!  I honestly thought World War III was about to erupt.

Sophia went through a phase when she was fascinated with scissors.  In fact, she's going through another one right now.  She keeps making snowflake cut outs.  Very messy, believe me.

When she was Lilly's age Sophia actually cut her own hair.  It took forever to grow in.

Lilly has taken to scissors all of a sudden.  She's not cutting her hair. No, not at all.  She prefers to cut up her clothes!  Yep.  Last week I bought a package of 4 really cute fairies to iron on to one of her new summer dresses because she snipped a hole right in the middle of the dress.

Today I caught her cutting lines into her shirt.  The is the first time she's worn this shirt!  I'm furious, but at least it's not her hair!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had snowflakes

Last Saturday night right before the girls went to bed it started to snow.  We had heard that it might snow and Sophia looked for it all day.  As soon as she realized it was snowing she was outside playing in it.  She loves the cold weather.  Here she is trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue.

Do we look alike?

Guess what, Mom?

I like boys now.

Sophia has a definite crush on a boy in her class named Bryce.  He's the class trouble-maker too.  Yesterday he pushed her out of the line to cut in front of her when she was getting a drink.  If it was anyone else she would have told me how rude that was....but since it was Bryce.....

Will teases her and she blushes like a bride.

And, guess who else likes boys now too?

That's right, Lilly!  Last night at dinner she named all the boys in her class and said that she likes them.

Jumping jumping jumping

Bounce House

The girls didn't have school on Friday so I took them to the Bounce House for an hour.  That's as long as they wanted to be there.  Sophia was complaining that she was tired and hot.  Lilly quit bouncing and decided to play in the area for babies and kids under age 2.  That's when I knew it was time to go home.

They had a good time when we were there, but it sure didn't kill the day like I had anticipated.
