Sophia is certainly a handful. She's got a mind of her own and doesn't seem to like to follow a schedule just yet. Some days she'll sleep for 4 hours straight without waking up to eat and other days she wants to eat every 45 minutes. This doesn't allow for mom to get much sleep. :-)
She's just a darling little girl. We're having so much fun with her so far. She's been out to eat three times. She went to her first BBQ at our neighbor's house on Friday night. She's been outside for countless walks.
She hates getting a bath and just to prove her point she cries (I mean wails) the entire time. She cannot fall asleep unless she's being held. She loves to bounce on Will's knee. She loves sleeping on her stomach while being held.

Interesting article. I would say I'm more like the third group from Copenhagen, Denmark. I do carry her around alot during the day and read and sing to her.
Yesterday she only napped for an hour and a half instead of the normal newborn 15 hours. The only thing she wanted to do was eat yesterday. OUCH! Her doctor warned me of a 3 week growth spurt and I'm hoping it was isolated to yesterday.
When Will got home yesterday I handed her off and he walked her around the neighborhood for a while to try to get her to take a nap, but no such luck. I also walked with her on the treadmill yesterday and took her for a stroller walk to see if that would lull her to sleep. Nope. I'm not complaining, I love it when she's awake during the day and pays attention to me and her surroundings, but her appetite yesterday was just astounding.
I do feel lucky because for the past 2 nights she has slept from midnight until 5 AM and then again from 6 AM - 9 AM.
